I’ve decided to start a food blog! I’ve recently started a personal blog chronicling moments in my life, but a big part of my day-to-day is food (my one true love) and I need a separate space to explore it. As a content producer who works for publications covering the restaurant and foodservice industries, food is my work—and my joy.
One of my co-workers (a food writer who tracks menu trends) went to an event at the new Arby’s opening at Madison Square Park. He told me he tried the venison sandwich there and enjoyed it. He also brought back samples of their menu, including these “secret menu” items—the Meat Mountain and the Denali.
The Meat Mountain (which is not really all that secret since it’s on their website http://arbys.com/our-menu/roast-beef/meat-mountain) is a sandwich with every kind of meat available from Arby’s—ham, chicken tenders, roast turkey, Angus steak, brisket, corned beef, roast beef, and bacon—with swiss and cheddar cheese on a bun. The Denali is that plus a fried fish filet.
I didn’t even attempt to eat them (way too intimidated).
